I’m thrilled for Dr. Kelsey Cochrane (recent graduate of the Karakochuk lab) to be selected as the 2024 recipient of the Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS) PhD Dissertation Award for Outstanding Research Contributing the the Degree of PhD!
Dr. Cochrane’s PhD research involved a clinical trial of folic acid vs 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) supplementation during pregnancy. This prestigious award celebrates her 10 first-authored publications that are directly related to her PhD dissertation research.
Kelsey is now an Assistant Professor in Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan.
