Kelsey and Brock travel to Phnom Penh to lead new HEME project

Kelsey and Brock arrived in Phnom Penh in March to spearhead the implementation of the HEmoglobin MEasurement (HEME) Laboratory Validation Study in collaboration with UBC, Helen Keller International, and USAID Advancing Nutrition. The project will determine the best and most accurate way to measure hemoglobin concentrations in a capillary blood sample for future studies. This knowledge is essential to accurately estimate population-level anemia prevalence rates globally. Results are forthcoming and will be shared soon!
