Congratulations to Kelsey – a CIHR Doctoral Award winner!

I am thrilled to announce that Kelsey was awarded a CIHR Doctoral Award: Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship! This prestigious national award provides a research stipend and research allowance totalling $105,000 over 3 years!

Kelsey is a PhD Candidate (Human Nutrition) in the Karakochuk lab and this award is for her PhD research titled: Is 5-methyltetrahydrofolate as effective as folic acid in increasing serum and red blood cell folate during pregnancy and lactation, while resulting in reduced unmetabolized folic acid in maternal blood and breastmilk?
