Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS) conference in Montreal

We were in Montreal last week for the annual CNS conference – and I congratulate my three graduate students who did an outstanding job representing our lab and their research! Lulu was invited to the highly competitive graduate student oral competition (only 8 abstracts were selected out of ~250 submissions) and she did an absolutely fantastic job presenting to a massively packed room and fielding some difficult questions, Stella won a CNS travel award to present her just recently published work on the prevalence of iron deficiency in pregnant women in Cambodia, and Colleen was selected into the infographic competition and won 2nd place for her poster on food safety in pregnancy! Incredibly proud of you all!

It was so great to catch up with old colleagues and friends – and learn about the incredible nutrition research that is happening here in Canada.

Thank you to CNS for the opportunity and support – see you next year in Halifax!
